You will feel our passion for food and Culinary Arts during each and every class and event you participate in. Our classes are fun, educational, hands on, and interactive. There’s no need to bring anything! We supply all the food, supplies, aprons, hats, and we even clean up! Your Instructor will demonstrate techniques, tell stories, and share tips and tricks during every class. We always end by enjoying what we prepared! You’ll experience the passion and excitement we bring to the table during each and every class!

Chef John believes that good eating and breaking bread with others are two of life’s greatest pleasures and are at the heart of everyday cooking for family and friends. This is foremost in Chef’s mind as he guides The Cutting Edge Classroom Cooking School in its goal to educate East Tennessee in culinary skills and introduce fun into the kitchen. You can see Chef as a regular on WBIR and WVLT as he shares cooking knowledge and techniques to viewers all around East Tennessee! Chef loves to share his knowledge of food and cooking with people of all ages and experience and looks forward to welcoming you to The Cutting Edge Classroom!
Kirsten assists with set up for classes, cleanup, and office tasks. She is a student at ETSU and aspires to be an artist.
Pastry Chef Instructor
Chef Heather grew up at the feet of her mother and grandmothers experiencing the joy and satisfaction of a well made dessert. This joy grew into a passion, from baking for her family and friends into the birth of her business, Better When Baked, four years ago. Her other calling, being a librarian for an elementary school, helped her discover her love for teaching and sharing, so she is excited about sharing her baking experiences with you. “Baking is love made edible.” What a good motto to live by.
Jaana holds a degree in Retail Management and has held positions in restaurants in Miami Florida. Jaana is our Retail Manager and Part Owner. She also keeps things running in our office!
Culinary Arts Instructor
Chef Neisler is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of American Hyde Park New York. He is a food lover and enjoys sharing is skills with our customers!
Keziah is a graduate of the PSTCC Culinary Institute and holds a degree in the Culinary Arts. She loves to cook and assists with classroom set up, food preparation, and anything else needed around the school!
Chef Brandon Is a Culinary Arts Graduate from PSTCC and completed his internship with us. Chef brings a world of experience to his classes and loves to share his knowledge with our students!
Sophia helps to set up for classes and assists Instructors during classes. She loves food and being helpful!
Kaitlyn teaches Pastry Arts and has a pastry degree from Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.
