Learn how to make delicious Neopolitan style pizza and calzone in this fun, hands on, and interactive class! Neapolitan pizza, or pizza Napoletana, is a type of pizza that originated in Naples, Italy. This style of pizza is prepared with simple and fresh ingredients, a basic dough, raw tomatoes or tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, and olive oil. A calzone is a folded dough, usually shaped like a half-moon and stuffed with cheese and sometimes vegetables, meat, and sauce and can be baked or fried. It is often served with marinara or pizza sauce on the side. In this class our Chef will walk you through the entire pizza and calzone making process step-by-step including preparing and proofing dough, tossing, forming, topping, filling, rolling, and baking to perfection! After taking this class you will be ready to create amazing pizza and calzone in your own kitchen! Everyone will go home with a pizza and there will be plenty to eat in class so come hungry! Price is for one adult and one child ages 5-15.
