The Ultimate Learning Experience for your child and a perfect place to learn cooking skills while stirring-up creativity! This is the perfect camp for kids that love to cook and want to learn the skills that Italian Chefs use every day! Our Professional Chef’s are great with kids and skilled in all aspects of culinary arts techniques. Your child will learn all the skills needed to create fresh, delicious, and attractively prepared foods while having fun in a hands on learning environment! We will also cover many cooking methods that Chefs use on a wide variety of foods while creating fresh and delicious Italian inspired foods. We will also cover how to follow a recipe, mise en place, measuring, weighing ingredients, clean as you go, and food safety. 

Our classes are taught by real Chefs in our state of the art instructional kitchen. Your child will experience new foods and preparation techniques, learn valuable life skills, and hone cooking and baking abilities while working in a fun, safe, and hands on environment. You will love watching as your “young chef” grows with confidence and knowledge while creating amazing foods at home. Ages 9-15. Class Dates: July 25-29.

Class Schedule: 

  • Monday: Homemade Pizza Dough, Authentic Neapolitan Pizza, Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza, Stromboli, Marinara Sauce

  • Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan, Gnocchi With Homemade Pesto Sauce, Garden Art Focaccia Bread

  • Wednesday: Homemade Pasta, Spaghetti With Meatballs, Fettuccini Carbonara, Italian Chopped Salad

  • Thursday: Caprese Salad, Roast Vegetable Frittatas, Homemade Roasted Summer Vegetable Lasagna

  • Friday: Italian Desserts, Glazed Butter Cookies, Homemade Strawberry Gelato, Italian Style Doughnuts, Sabayon With Fresh Strawberries

How It Works:

  • Our Chef Instructors demonstrate, guide, and support students

  • Students learn proper food handling, organization, cleanliness, and food safety

  • Students work individually and in groups

  • Students prepare foods and baked goods hands on

  • Students eat what is prepared in class.

  • We teach equipment use and safety, cookware use, and everything else needed to be proficient in the kitchen

  • We supply all food, supplies, ingredients, a hat, and an apron
