The portable filled husks have fed generations of families (and armies) from Mexico to Argentina. This delicious corn meal masa wrapped in corn husks or banana leaves can be filled with almost anything, most commonly with shredded pork, beef or chicken, while sweet tamales feature fruit or raisins and coconut. In this class you will learn how to prepare homemade savory and sweet tamales hands on! Our Chef will walk you through the steps of making masa, an amazing hot pepper sauce, and fillings. Then we will move on to rolling and steaming our tamales. Best of all there will be plenty to eat so come hungry!
