Do you want to improve your cooking knowledge and skills in a fun, hands on, and interactive learning environment? Then this course is for you! Our Chef will guide you as we explore the many methods and techniques used by Professional cooks every day! We will show you how you can take these newly learned skills and apply them to your own cooking and meal preparation at home! The skills you learn in this course will drastically change the way you prepare meals and will help you to be more organized, speed up preparation, and make delicious and fresh foods!  This course is great for beginners on up! Best of all we get to eat what is prepared during class! Everyone will go home with a packet of all recipes and handouts. Ages 18 and up.

You will learn:

  • Basic knife use, sharpening, and maintenance

  • How to correctly follow a recipe and mise en place ingredients

  • Food safety methods

  • The cooking methods, roasting, grilling, stewing, sauteing, frying, and steaming, baking

  • Flavoring and seasoning techniques

  • Cooking Poultry

  • Cooking Beef

  • Cooking Pork

  • Cooking Seafood

  • Cooking vegetables and starches

  • Basic baking techniques
