In a world filled with processed foods, learning to bake is a vital skill for any child. That’s why we teach children how to bake with whole foods from scratch. Our classes are taught by professional Chefs in our 3000-square foot fully equipped state-of-the-art instructional facility where your child will experience new foods and preparation techniques, learn valuable life skills, and hone cooking and baking abilities in a safe learning environment. You will love watching as your “young pastry chef” grows with confidence and knowledge while creating amazing pastries at home! This Series Is For Kids Ages 9-15.

During This Series Your Child Will:

  • Build relationships and work with instructors and other children in groups and individually
  • Learn to prepare scratch-made foods hands-on like a real pastry chef
  • Learn how to use and identify kitchen equipment, tools, & cookware
  • Gain an appreciation for many different foods
  • Get away from picky eating
  • Develop and improve fine motor skills
  • Practice reading comprehension and math while learning how to follow directions and recipes
  • Be more creative and self-sufficient
  • Learn valuable life skills that will last a lifetime
  • Learn to help Mom and Dad at home
  • Get to eat what is prepared in class

Class 2: Decorating

  • Decorating techniques for cakes & cupcakes
  • Identifying pastry tips & pastry bag use
  • Decorating with buttercream, fondant, & drips

Class 3: French Patisserie 1

  • Authentic French macarons
  • Batter, flavorings, & colors
  • Piping, baking, & filling macarons
  • Decorating macarons

Class 4: French Patisserie 2

  • Cream puffs, & eclairs
  • Scratch made whip cream
  • Making pate choix’, piping, & baking
  • Pastry cream & tempering chocolate

Class 5: Pies and Tarts

  • Seasonal fruit pies, lattice & baking
  • Meringue & other toppings
  • Tarts & dessert snacks

Class 6: Doughnuts

  • The science behind yeast & fermentation
  • Rise & proofing
  • Making yeast & baked doughnuts
  • Decorating with glaze & toppings

Class 7: Cookies and Bars

  • The creaming method & mixing of cookie dough
  • Forming and baking cookies & bars
  • Toppings & seasonal flavorings

Class 8: Breads and Doughs

  • Types of flour and their properties
  • Bread dough preparation
  • Pizza dough and scratch-made artisan pizza
  • Fermenting, proofing, & forming bread loaves
  • Egg washing, topping, & baking bread

Class 9: Scones and Biscuits

  • The biscuit method & preparing biscuit dough
  • Rolling & cutting biscuits
  • Making fluffy & flakey biscuits
  • Forming & baking scones
  • Adding seasonal flavorings

Class 10: Ice Cream Desserts

  • Homemade gelato
  • Ice cream sandwiches
  • Brownies & ice cream
  • Topping and flavoring ice cream

Please be aware that when you enroll you are making a commitment to complete the 10-class course. Due to prior planning for these classes and the limited space, we cannot accept cancellations unless there are extreme circumstances. If your child cannot finish the course due to serious issues, we will try our best to move him or her to the next series. If a class has to be canceled we will communicate a makeup date as soon as possible.
