Join us in our warm & cozy kitchen and learn how to bake beautiful Challah Bread & Babka in this fun, hands on, and interactive class! Babka dough is super easy to work with and the filling is pure chocolaty goodness. Topping it with either a streusel topping or drizzle with chocolate (or both!) creates a treat nothing less than sublime. The word challah originally meant only the small portion of dough that was put in the oven when baking bread as a reminder of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. It has evolved into the twisted, sweet, almost brioche-like bread that was brought to America by immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe. Our Chef will show you how to prepare and bake both of these delicious treats, and after you take this class you will have everything you need to know to bake your very own at home. Come hungry because there will be plenty to sample in class. Best of all everyone will go home with their own loaf of Challah and Babka!
