Do you enjoy watching Hibachi Chefs work their magic on the griddle in your favorite Japanese Restaurant? Would you like to learn how to prepare your very own hibachi using the freshest ingredients and techniques that will result in a delicious Japanese-inspired meal that your entire family can enjoy at home? Then let’s get our Hibachi on! The first records of hibachi-style heating devices are alluded to during the Heian period of Japanese history, dating from 794 until 1185 AD. Because metal was not resource commonly found in Japan, the earliest hibachis were crafted from an amalgam of the wood from cypress trees, which were then lined with clay. Hibachi is a Japanese style of cooking that cooks meat, vegetables, and seafood over a high-heat metal cooking plate. Our Chef Instructor will be the guide as you prepare an amazing Hibachi menu hands on! Best of all you will get to eat what is prepared in class!
